As a Friendly Truck Driving School graduate, you will be contacted by Forum Research Canada, a research firm contracted by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development, approximately 6 months after your graduation. You will be asked to complete two surveys; the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Graduate Satisfaction Survey and the KPI Employer Satisfaction Survey. The purpose of these surveys is to collect information on how graduates have fared in the workplace after graduating from PCC vocational programs.

We encourage both you and your employer to complete these surveys, as the results will provide a guideline on how to further improve, alter, and/or revise the curriculum, impact the college’s level of provincial funding, and provide a depiction of FTDS’ performance on preparing you for the workplace. This information also assists future students in making informed choices about their postsecondary education.

The KPI Process consists of five PCC KPIs, as issued by the Superintendent of Private Career Colleges under the authority of the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.

  • Graduate Rate
  • Graduate Employment Rate
  • Graduate Employment in the Field of Study
  • Graduate Satisfaction Rate
  • Employer Satisfaction Rate

Audited Data is submitted by PCCs three times per year and are used to calculate the graduation rate. Surveys taken by graduates and their employers are used to calculate the remaining four KPIs. To be considered a graduate included in these calculations, the student must have completed the program in under double the time stated as the program’s duration (e.g., if taking a 5 weeks program, the student must complete and graduate from the program in under 10 weeks of enrollment).
