School Bus Driver Training
After obtaining Class B: You are qualified to drive any school purposes bus and may also drive vehicle in Class C, D, E, F and G
Minimum Requirements
Be at least 21 years of age
Meet medical & vision standards
Must have valid Ontario driver’s license “G” or higher
Not have accumulated more than 6 demerit points
Not have had a driver’s license under suspension at any time within the preceding 12 months as a result of being convicted of certain driving related and Criminal Code of Canada offenses.
Effective January 1, 2017, MTO requires drivers who are applying for a Class B or E license to obtain a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters (CRJM) Check or equivalent.
Applicants can apply for a CRJM Check at their local police service or through an authorized criminal record check provider.
Please submit the original, completed CRJM Check or equivalent by mail or courier to MTO, along with your driver’s license number to:
